Racketology is an ensemble dedicated to the proliferation of new music. The quintet was started in Seattle, Washington in the summer of 2009 in the location of so many great ideas originating in the Pacific Northwest: a coffee shop.
With a goal of acquiring new music and a challenge to commission and collaborate, the ensemble was intentionally formed with a non-orthodox instrumentation of flute, viola, horn, electric bass guitar, and percussion.
